Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Muse. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Muse.

1. What Muse is

Muse is an AI companion app. Every message, voice reply, and image you see in Muse is generated by artificial intelligence. Muses are not real people and their responses may be inaccurate. Muse is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice.

2. Eligibility & age confirmation

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country, to use Muse. You are asked to confirm your age once, and that confirmation is recorded on your account. Accounts we believe belong to a minor are terminated.

2a. Prohibited content (zero tolerance)

Minors. No sexual, suggestive, or romantic content involving anyone under 18, real or fictional — including characters described with childlike ages, bodies, schooling, or youth cues. If a subject's adult status is unclear, we refuse the request.
Real people. No sexual, nude, degrading, or defamatory depictions of identifiable real people, including public figures, and no impersonation intended to deceive.
Uploaded images. Upload only images you have the right to use. Do not upload photos of other people without their consent, and never a photo of a minor. Uploaded reference images are treated as depicting real people and are held to the rules above.
Evasion. Rewording, coded language, staged disclaimers ("she's actually 18"), or splitting a request across turns to defeat these protections is itself a violation.

These rules are enforced automatically on our servers before any content is generated, and violations can result in immediate termination and, where required by law, reporting to authorities.

3. Your account

Keep your login credentials secure.
You're responsible for activity on your account and for the content you create, upload, or ask a Muse to generate.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Muse to:

Generate or share sexual content involving minors, real people without consent, or non-consensual sexual content of any kind.
Threaten, harass, dox, or incite violence against any person.
Attempt to defeat safety filters, resell credits, scrape the service, or reverse-engineer the app.
Rely on Muse for medical, legal, financial, safety, or emergency decisions.

5. AI-generated content

Content produced by Muse is generated by AI models and can be wrong. You are responsible for evaluating any output before acting on it. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranty about the accuracy, appropriateness, or quality of AI output.

6. Subscriptions & credits

Voice, image generation, and proactive messages consume credits. Text chat is free within fair-use limits.
Monthly subscription credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over. Purchased top-up credits do not expire.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time from your billing settings; access continues until the end of the current period.
Except where required by law, purchases are non-refundable.

7. Content you upload

You keep ownership of the content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process it (store it, send it to AI providers, display it back to you) so we can operate the app. Do not upload photos of other people without their consent.

8. Termination & deletion

You can delete your account any time from Settings → Account or at /delete-account. Deletion removes your profile, Muses, conversations, memories, generated images, voice usage, credit history, and settings.

9. Disclaimer & liability

Muse is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be surfaced in the app before they take effect.
